Answer:

  1. Single cells from selected plants are isolated (from potato and tomato)
  2. The cell walls of cells are digested by enzymes like pectinase and cellulose to expose the maked protoplasts.
  3. Isolate the protoplast.
  4. The isolated protoplasts are fused to obtain hybrid protoplasts under sterile condition. This can be grown to from a new plant.
